I always say that being a mother is one of the MOST emotionally rewarding, but LEAST financially rewarding roles ever.

Let me be clear: I LOVE being a mama to my babies.

It's what I always wanted to do ever since I was a little one myself.  My children are absolutely my WORLD, and I feel so blessed each and every day that these souls came to settle with me and call me "mommy".

Still, nothing could have prepared me for the workload that comes with being a full-time mother. There were no coffee breaks, no more Sunday afternoons lazing on the couch watching movies, and no more holidays. The concept of Friday and 'the weekend' ceased to exist. All the days seemed to blend into each other as one long, never-ending Monday. 😂

Prior to becoming a mother, I always worked, and I have been earning my own money since I was 10 years old. That was always important to me - for the freedom and security money brings.

After motherhood, I still worked as a freelancer earning what I could from my computer a couple hours a day. It was stressful and challenging trying to do so with a baby who never slept and wanted to be in my arms 24/7. My earnings potential was severely decreased, and although I loved being a mama, I didn't like feeling powerless with little to no income of my own. I didn't like feeling lonely at home on my own every day. And I didn't like the idea that giving myself over to motherhood meant indefinitely pausing all the gifts and talents the Universe granted to me.

That's when I knew I had to get creative, become a #mompreneur, and change up the life I'd built, because:

We have power.
We have purpose.
It's up to us to find it.
